Tinsley
Tinsley was a large industrial district in the north-east of Sheffield. It was located beside one of the city's waterways and was just off junction 34 of the nearby motorway. Approximately west of Tinsley were the districts of Carbrooke and Greenland, north-west was Wincobank, north-east was Templeborough, and east were Brinsworth and Catcliffe; to the south was Handsworth Hill and to the south-west was Darnall.
Along the nearby waterway to the west of Tinsley were Tinsley Locks. To the approximate north-west was Meadowhall Centre and to the south-east was Tinsley Park Golf Course. Tinsley also contained a number of industrial works and a cemetery.
Tinsley appeared on Jade McIntyre's map of spider activity within the Sheffield area. (TV: Arachnids in the UK)
