Gabriella "Gabby" DeMatteis was the Brand Editorial Manager of Doctor Who between 2018-2022 and was notable for her contributions to projects such as The Lonely Assassins, Time Fracture and Redacted. DeMatteis is also responsible for bringing Juno Dawson into the franchise, reaching out to the Author to write The Good Doctor which then led to the creation of Doctor Who: Redacted.

During the 2022 Paul Spragg Memorial Short Trip Opportunity, she was brought in to judge for the competition alongside Alfie Shaw, Nicholas Briggs and incoming Short Trips producer, Peter Anghelides. DeMatteis would return alongside Briggs and Anghelides the following year to judge the 2023 Paul Spragg Memorial Short Trip Opportunity with Dominic G. Martin joining the judge panel to replace an outgoing Alfie Shaw.

DeMatteis was succeeded by James Page, who took over her role for the 60th anniversary celebrations and beyond.
