Heiss was a Professor at Luna University. On 23 October in 5140, just a week before Halloween, she categorically proved that ghosts did not exist. She argued all reports of ghosts had rational explanations, including: Gelth incursions, Cybermen pressing through a dimensional barrier, time travellers stranded in pocket universes, holographic medical AIs and psychic imprints being used as alien transmitters.
