The Curse of Lady Macbeth was the second story in the audio anthology Lost Warriors, produced by Big Finish Productions. It was written by Lizzie Hopley and featured Christopher Eccleston as the Ninth Doctor.

Publisher's summary

The TARDIS is drawn to Scotland again – to the troubled Kingdom of Moray, and its Queen Gruach. Or, as the Doctor knows her better, Lady Macbeth. While some believe she is the cause of her people’s woes, she may yet become their saviour.

History

  • Lady Macbeth spits on the ground, cursing her husband's name. The Doctor jokes it might be a bit too early for that. The trope around "The Scottish play" is that no actors should utter the name Macbeth, for it will invoke bad luck.
