Horrors of Arcbeatle was a 2023 book published by Arcbeatle Press. It featured the story The Cactus and the Corpse, written by A. Twain, (PROSE: Love & War [+]Loading...["Love & War (short story)"]) as well as the subsequent story The Thing in the Woods.

Whilst browsing the shelves of the Plume Coteries' Library, Maritsa noticed a copy of Horrors of Arcbeatle. Opening it at random, she initially landed on The Cactus and the Corpse, but when she realised that it featured her as a character, remembered her Bookkeeper training and moved onto the next story, The Thing in the Woods, deciding that she "probably wasn't missing much". Olivia Kagg Waldermein referenced The Cactus and the Corpse multiple times in Love & War: A Meta-Historical Investigation of the Dawn of the Cosmic Revolution when discussing the Mappers, the Space Lords' relationship with the Lesser Time Elementals, and when quoting Dionus' writings on how "the Duskerides' little success story went mad."
