The Story of Tracy Beaker is a media franchise that originated from the 1991 the children's book of the same name by Jacqueline Wilson. The series focuses around the titular character, a troubled girl who lives in a children's care home, nicknamed "The Dumping Ground", with various other children.

The original book went on to receive a number of literary sequels, as well as a popular television series that was broadcast on CBBC, which received its own set of sequels and spinoffs.

In the 2012 Blue Peter special [+]Loading...["Blue Peter special (TV story)"], the Eleventh Doctor, whilst speaking directly to the audience from within the Land of Fiction, considered recruiting Tracy Beaker to help him.

By 2016, the CBBC studio had the logo for the then-running Tracy Beaker spinoff, The Dumping Ground, hung among other TV show logos on a wall. This could be seen when the studio appeared in the DWU-adjacent Robot Week [+]Loading...["Robot Week (TV story)"].
