Sid Sutton
Sid Sutton was a graphic designer who created the Doctor Who logos and title sequences used from Tom Baker's last year to Colin Baker's last year. He was thus responsible for the "neon sign" logo associated with the John Nathan-Turner era. He was actually credited under "Title Sequence" and "Graphic Designer", though the latter only was used on his first outing, The Leisure Hive.
Immediately prior to his work on Doctor Who, he had been nominated for a BAFTA for his graphics on the Robert Banks Stewart-created Shoestring that was a sort of precursor to Bergerac, another show for which he provided the titles. He also created the title sequences for Target and Keeping up Appearances, amongst others.
