Tardisode 3 is the third of the Tardisode series of mini-episode prologues to Doctor Who Series 2. This Tardisode is a prelude to the episode, School Reunion.

Synopsis

Mickey is at a computer, looking at a website of UFO sightings, but is then blocked by a notice referring to Torchwood. He picks up his phone and calls Rose while sorting through newspaper clippings, telling her that he needs her and the Doctor to investigate lights in the sky and strange goings on at a school. The Tardisode ends with a shot of a Krillitane screaming into the camera. Unlike most other Tardisodes, the main episode makes dialogue reference to the events of the prequel.

Script

Mickey is on a computer typing fast as he looks up information.

Mickey (to himself): "Come on, Mickey, there's got to be something more than this."

Screen says "TORCHWOOD: ACCESS DENIED"

Mickey (to himself): "Which means I'm on to something."

Mickey pulls out his phone, dials a number, and brings it to his ear.

Mickey: "Rose, Rose, listen. There's this school, strange lights in the sky over it. Anyway, there's some weird things going on, and you and the Doctor, well, I need you. There's something out there."

Camera cuts to shot of a Krillitane, which opens it's wings and squeals at the camera.

Continuity

  • This is a prelude to DW: School Reunion.
  • The same set is used in the main episode, showing Mickey sitting at the same computer trying to find more information on the UFO sightings. In this sequence, and the entire TARDISODE, production clips showed that Noel Clarke, who plays Mickey, was filming this sometime after production of the episode itself and had recentely cut his hair very short (as per his appearance in Rise of the Cybermen/The Age of Steel and Doomsday, which were filmed in a seperate production block). Therefore, to maintain continuity, he was forced to wear the hat that he is seen to wear in this mini-episode.
