Area 52 was a facility located in the Great Pyramid of Giza in an alternate timeline created by River Song's refusal to kill the Eleventh Doctor. It was controlled by a group of people who noticed what had happened to time, led by Amy Pond. Over a hundred Silents were kept in this facility. (DW: The Wedding of River Song)
