Cosplay a-go-go
Recently did a Tenth Doctor cosplay at a convention I attended. Made a photo-journal style story to go along with the pictures I had taken. Just a goofy little thing really, but hopefully entertaining for a few who check it out. :) --Colleyd 18:55, 25 November 2007 (UTC)Woof
Doctor Who and the High Seas Fur-y
Thanks for your recent edits! I'm Jimbo, your robot wiki representative! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is actually a great time to have joined, because we're now fully independent, and working on a host of new features!
We've got a couple of important quirks for a fan written wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.
British English, please
We generally use British English 'round these parts, so if you use another form of English, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.
Spoilers aren't cool
We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.
Other useful stuff
Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:
- the listing of all our help, policy and guideline pages
- our Manual of Style
- our image use policy
- our user page policy
If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! — you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:
Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes like this:Thanks for becoming a member of the TARDIS crew! If you have any questions, see the Help pages, add a question to one of the Forums or ask an admin.
Hey
Whats up? Alright I will make a deal with you if you help me with the Tenth Doctor page I won't erase the episode names except once which will be when I print the page out. Do we have a deal? Please leave a message on my talk page no body is talking to me.--The 10th Doctor 00:12, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry. If you're wanting to print out a copy of the page, then copy the text to a notepad file and make the changes to that. There's no need to edit an entire page just so you can print it out, when there are far more easier and logical ways to do it. --Colleyd 22:59, 12 October 2007 (UTC)Colleyd
Big Finish Audio Dramas
Just wanted to say nice work...Just a few notes. Generally speaking for setting it should be Planet (first), and then work down to specifics...ie Earth, England, London, 1976 (etc). Up to your discretion how specific but that's the general order.
Also in the 'Writer' area of the infobox I've noticed several stories have 'from a story by "writer's name"', as far as I'm aware the only writer/story to get that credit is Renaissance of the Daleks all the other writers have written their stories, phrasing it 'from a story by...' sort of implies that they didn't. (Sorry to sort of point out all this in one go). --Tangerineduel 14:49, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
One additional thing, the bigfinish page link should be www.bigfinish.com rather than www.doctorwho.co.uk as that just leads to a 'The page cannot be found' page. Thanks --Tangerineduel 14:54, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks! Seeing as how the BFA's were my first real exposure to the Who-verse, I've been trying to do them credit. I wasn't sure of the specifics on the setting, but I'll keep that in mind from now on.
Regarding the writer section, that happened as a result of me essentially C&Ping the previous audio page to work from for the next one. Since I started with Renaissance of the Daleks, all the others had the infobox from that one as their template afterwards. As for the links, the doctorwho.co.uk address was active as a redirect to Big Finish at the time of the usage. I meant to go back and update the ones that had it, but never got around to it unfortunately.
And no problem in pointing it all out in one go. This is the only wiki I've ever really done work on, so knowing what works and what doesn't is actually a good thing. :) --Colleyd 16:34, 12 January 2008 (UTC)Woof.
Big Finish Name Confusion
In the first four pages for the Companion Chronicles audios, you spelled the name of the same person two different ways "Lawrence Oakely" and "Lawrence Oakley". Please correct as soon as possible. Thank you. Doug86 11:29, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
RE: Audio Help!
