Doctor Richard Stirling was the uncle of Brian Stirling and was determined to find a cure for his nephew's CGD, so determined that he went to the extent of creating a clone of Brian, Jonah Stirling, to help cure his illness. He was defeated when the Eighth Doctor took Jonah away.
Near the end of his life, Stirling refused a heart transplant. (PROSE: Jonah)
