John was a Jamaican employee at a coffee shop in London in 1963. He chatted with the Seventh Doctorabout adding sugar to tea, leading the Doctor to muse about the larger ripple effects that occur through Time even from small decisions. John's father had worked in the sugar fields in Jamaica. (TV: Rememberance of the Daleks)
