James Maddox wrote Serpent's Child for the Erimem series.
Maddox co-edited the 2019 charity anthology Unbound: Adventures in Time and Space and contributed to it the short story Sense of Self, which featured the Lenny Henry Doctor.
In a 2019 interview, he stated "I think it would've been better if I was writing for the Mikey or Smappy fan series' instead," this was in reference The Fourteenth Doctor Adventures: The Audio Series.
