Mordor

Mordor was one of the fictional locations within Storyland, located directly opposite Lilliput. Shortly after landing in Storyland, the First Doctor saw Sherlock Holmes walking past a sign giving the direction of Mordor, one of several clues which allowed him to realise he had retuned to Storyland. Behind the scenes

  • Mordor originates in the writings of J. R. R. Tolkien, being the domain of the villainous Sauron in his "Legendarium". However, no connection between the Mordor in Storyland and other references made to Tolkien's works in the Doctor Who universe has been drawn in any source considered valid by this Wiki.
