Cable Street was a street in London. During the 1930s, it was the site of an anti-Semitic and anti-Bolshevist demonstration by pro-fascist agitators such as George Ratcliffe. They advocated a strong government in England that emulated the Third Reich. (PROSE: Remembrance of the Daleks) Similar scenes were taking place in Nazi Germany during the period.
