Marta Malvani was the leader of an artist commune. She was quite proud of her work here including making the commune self-sufficient. She showed the Third Doctor around the place. Her daughter was killed in the war. She was only on the commune as custodians because it was cheaper for the company than decommissioning it. After learning of the creatures in the sea she wanted to blow up the rig. After what had happened she became a political artist. (AUDIO: The Gulf)
