Talk:Dodo Chaplet
Key life events
When I encountered it, page had these comments under the section above:
- After tragic events, Dodo comes to live with her great-aunt and finds herself held prisoner. (PROSE: Salvation)
- Dodo escapes, finds the Doctor's TARDIS and leaves with him. (TV: The Massacre of St Bartholomew's Eve, PROSE: Salvation, TV: The Ark)
- A computer, WOTAN, takes over Dodo's mind. Recovering from this, she decides to stay in 1966 London. (TV: The War Machines)
- Dodo spends years in psychiatric institutions as a result of her brief control by WOTAN.
- Dodo meets James Stevens and begins a relationship with him, but is killed by Francis Cleary, under control of the Master. (PROSE: Who Killed Kennedy)
I've removed them here to archive them, but really they shouldn't go back into the article in this form. It's impossible to do a neat timeline of events for Dodo, because the various non-TV stories conflict too heavily with each other for it to make sense.

Infobox image
I've gone ahead and uploaded a few suggestions for Dodo's infobox, my favourite of which is #6. It's the best quality but, like the current image, she's making the cardinal sin of not looking left. Jack "BtR" Saxon ☎ 12:11, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
- Given that #6 probably isn't acceptable, I vote for #1. Jack "BtR" Saxon ☎ 17:24, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
- I missed this talk page, but I noticed the image was changed (a few days ago, without much discussion?) and I must say I believe the original image ("Current" in your gallery) is much better than what it was recently changed to. According to T:GTI, looking left is helpful but it is not required, especially when another image could be better. (It is taking things a bit too far to consider it a "cardinal sin", I think.) All the other proposals, in my opinion, do not depict Dodo's character as well; they are too candid and sometimes a bit awkward. Even if it's not a super-close up looking left, the one of her smiling still follows the image policy and I think is a better image of the character and better quality. - I restored the original image for now. While this is under discussion (and as a companion any image change requires a discussion), no change is allowed. I will say that the original not looking left isn't a big deal, but the cropping is. Unless it is uploaded with better cropping, it will be removed once we reach a consensus. The proposed images are all cropped the way we require, so for now those are the only options to consider. Shambala108 ☎ 01:55, 28 June 2022 (UTC)
- I added two more images to the gallery, one of which is the current image but cropped slightly closer and centered on Dodo's face instead of her neck. (I took the screenshot myself, so it might not be the exact same frame but it's as close as I could get; it's also a bit higher quality.) I personally prefer these two, and I like the current image so as of now my choice would be the crop of that. Chubby Potato ☎ 05:19, 28 June 2022 (UTC)
- I quite like #7, though it may need just a little cropped from the top and bottom. However, I am also happy with #8. #1 would be my third choice. LauraBatham ☎ 05:24, 28 June 2022 (UTC)
- I actually quite like #1. #6 has amazing contrast, but yes, doesn't do a great job getting across her character. (#3 and #5 give off entirely the wrong vibes, I feel.)

- #7 is also a good new addition, and the original image (or its crop in #8) still does the best job getting across Dodo's usual personality (tied with #1 for me, I think). Quite right that it doesn't always need to be looking right.
× SOTO contribs ×°/↯/•] 💬•| {/-//: 05:48, 28 June 2022 (UTC)- 1 is pretty good. The original would still need more cropping before being acceptable. Use the other images suggested for guidelines on how far to crop. Shambala108 ☎ 15:19, 28 June 2022 (UTC)

Appearance
Currently the Appearance section reads: "She was flat-chested and looked sexless with her short hair. " This appears to be at odds with her on-screen appearance.
