Quantum extraction

The Weeping Angel Extraction Squad engaged in quantum extraction. This involved isolating an area of space from its surroundings, removing it from both space and time. The Weeping Angels isolated Medderton in both 1901 and 1967 for the purposes of quantum extraction. (TV: Village of the Angels) Weeping Angels of The Doctor’s past have proved adept at sending individuals through time, but "Village of the Angels" reveals a technique known as "quantum extraction." The Thirteenth Doctor explains this means removing an entire location - a quaint English village, for example - from the timestream.
