Porthferiot

Porthferiot was a small fishing village on the coast of Cornwall. Professor Tansbury conducted experiments in a disused lighthouse off the village's coast. After the lighthouse was destroyed by the giant lizard Tansbury created, few fishermen would go out to sea. The Fourth Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith visited Porthferiot to investigate, discovering evidence of Tansbury's experiments and witnessing the lizard destroying a fishing boat. After an attempt by the Royal Navy to destroy the creature failed, the Doctor lured it into Porthferiot's harbour, where UNIT soldiers killed it with a missile. (COMIC: The Tansbury Experiment)
