Riva was one of the Veridians and was partially cyber-coverted by CyberNeomorphs. As part of this she lost her memories. The Sixth Doctor planned to retrieve her memories. In doing so she showed the Doctor were she was converted. (AUDIO: Hour of the Cybermen)
