Salateen

Major Salateen was an officer in General Chellak's troop on Androzani Minor. By the time of his death he had seen hundreds die from the effects of Spectrox toxaemia.
He was abducted by Sharaz Jek and replaced with an android duplicate.
During this period Salateen heard the story of Jek's mutilation a number of times. The Fifth Doctor helped him escape and, returning to General Chellak, helped him launch an assault against Jek. Salateen was shot and killed by one of Jek's androids. (TV: The Caves of Androzani)

Nicholas Ball, Ralph Bates, Christopher Cazenove, Tom Chadbon, Nicholas Clay, Brian Cox and Donald Sumpter were considered for the role before Robert Glenister was cast.
