Personality
Carla was a very caring and loving mother to Clyde, though she delighted in teasing and embarrassing him in public. She supported her son's talents at drawing and cooking. She was very tolerant — she let Clyde have a day out with Paul the day he returned to their lives because Clyde wanted to. (TV: The Mark of the Berserker, The Empty Planet, The Curse of Clyde Langer)
She hates fish, but she loves chocolate. (TV: The Curse of Clyde Langer)
Notes
In the script for Mark of the Berserker: Part Two: Page 24: Carla refers to her maiden name as Banks, implying that Melba's surname is the same.[1]
