The Happiness Patrol was the sixth adventure in The Thirteenth Doctor Sourcebook, adapted from the TV story of the same name.

Summary

The plot follows the television story, with variance depending on how it is played.

Player might discover a secret underbelly of Terra Alpha involving mood drugs being used to stay permanently happy or to make people depressed such that they'll be punished by the Happiness Patrol.

If the adventurers are Torchwood agents or some other Earth-bound group, they can arrive at Terra Alpha via a portal.

Further Adventures

In "The Sweet Keeper", adventurers encounter a child genius who has discovered the Kandyman's research and created candies so sweet they kill adults.

In "Fighting the Flab", a new regime takes over Terra Alpha and it becomes a society of eating candy. However, something sinister might be inside the sweets.

In "Goth Revolution", the newly lawful nature of sadness on Terra Alpha means that a large emo movement appears among the youth. The adventurers investigate a string of apparent suicides within this community which may actually be murders.
