Captain Pugwash was a multimedia franchise created by British cartoonist John Ryan, focusing on the comedic adventures of the titular character.

Created as a comic series for The Eagle in 1950, it was revived as a long-running comic strips in the pages of Radio Times, running concurrently (from 1957 onwards) with a BBC animated TV series also overseen by Ryan. Two more animated series were broadcast in 1974-1975 and in 1998.

In 1965, the Radio Times comic strip officially crossed over with the Doctor Who universe (then in its relative infancy) in Pugwash Ahoy! [+]Loading...["Pugwash Ahoy!
