Darren Pye was a man two years Rose Tyler's senior. They went to school together, although he was largely a truant. Rose once described him as a bully who "looked like a shaved gorilla, only not as handsome".
When the Doctor and Rose return home to the Powell Estate, Jackie tells Rose that Darren Pye and Mrs Pye moved two down three across from her flat, replacing Mrs McGregor. Then Rose is attacked by him when she leaves Mickey's to get some milk and biscuits. When Darren produces his knife Rose is saved by the Doctor and Darren leaves. Then Jackie is attacked by Darren and put in hospital. He steals lots of tellies including Mickey's, to play the game. Then, after Rose and Mickey are teleported back to Mickey's flat, Darren hears all the things they say about the game and aliens. When the Doctor and Rose decide to fly to Toop, where the aliens live. When the aliens arrive outside Mickey's flat Mickey hears Darren tell them about the Doctor and who he is. They take him to Toop, where he is used as a corpse for the games. When Rose meets him while the Doctor plays her, he tries to kill her but the other aliens, the Mantodeans, kill him by snapping off her head. (NSA: Winner Takes All)
