South Carolina was a state of the United States of America. In December 1860, it became the first state to secede from the Union. Soon thereafter, it bound with other southern states to form the Confederate States of America.

Of the many cities and townships in the state was Lyon Ridge, home of Paul LeVal. (TN: Blood and Hope)
