Lyon Ridge was a location in South Carolina that was the ostensible home of the Philip LeVal family. On 16 December 1861, Philip wrote a letter from Lyon Ridge in which he informed his son Paul that he had arranged for the younger LeVal to be transferred to the command of the cruel slave-catcher, Jubal Eustace, for disciplinary reasons.
