Devil's End
Devil's End was a village where the Devil's Hump, a barrow mound which held Azal's spaceship, was located.
In the seventeenth century Matthew Hopkins, the Witchfinder-General exposed a coven of witches in the village, and they were burned at the stake.
In the early 19th century, Lord Aldbourne and his followers played at devil worship in the cavern beneath the church at Devil's End. In the 20th century, the cavern was converted into a museum of witchcraft. (EDA: The Eight Doctors)
The local church exploded after Azal chose self-destruction due to the intervention of Jo Grant (DW: The Dæmons). The Master hid his TARDIS in the remains of the church in the form of the Stone of Sacrifice. (EDA: The Eight Doctors) The Master was taken prisoner there. (DW: The Sea Devils)
After escaping he returned for his TARDIS. The Doctor followed him and they ended up brawling. The Master managed to make contact with his ship and left. (EDA: The Eight Doctors)

- The village used for location shooting was Aldbourne. The pub is called The Blue Boar.
- The Reeltime Pictures documentary Return to Devil's End is filmed in and around Aldbourne with many of the original cast.
