Summary
Mickey finds a 2000 year old statue of Rose and the TARDIS whisks the Doctor and Rose to Ancient Rome. The Doctor meets a man named Gracilis, whose sixteen-year-old son Optatus has recently gone missing. They go to a slave-girl astronomer, to see if she could tell Gracilis where Optatus is. Gracilis promptly purchases Vanessa off her owner, Balbus. They go to Gracilis's villa, where a slave - Ursus - has made a statue of Optatus.
