Ealing was a district of London. It was in the same borough as, and in close proximity to, Perivale.

In 1990, the Seventh Doctor and Ace ordered baked Alaska in a café on Ealing Broadway. (PROSE: Cat's Cradle: Time's Crucible)

It was most prominently featured as the principal setting of The Sarah Jane Adventures and the related scenes of three Doctor Who episodes, (TV: The Stolen Earth; TV: Journey's End; TV: The End of Time) being the home of former & recurring companions Sarah Jane Smith and K-9 in the late 2000s and early 2010s. (TV: Invasion of the Bane - The Man Who Never Was)

A local newspaper was the Ealing Echo. (TV: Revenge of the Slitheen) A local comprehensive school was Park Vale. (TV: Invasion of the Bane

The Doctor visited the area and encountered Sarah Jane Smith and her companions on at least two occasions during his tenth incarnation (TV: The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith; TV: The End of Time), and at least once during his eleventh. (TV: Death of the Doctor) In addition to myriad aliens and terrestrial forces and more mundane guests, other visitors to Ealing included former companions Brigadier Sir Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart (TV: Enemy of the Bane) and Jo Grant. (TV: Death of the Doctor)

Throughout the late 2000s and early 2010s, there was a large amount of alien activity centred on the Ealing area. (TV: Invasion of the Bane, Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane?, The Lost Boy, The Day of the Clown, The Nightmare Man, The Vault of Secrets) The amount of strange and alien occurrences around the area led to it being dubbed "The Ealing Triangle". (TV: Goodbye, Sarah Jane Smith)
