Jim was a crew member aboard the Teselecta. Jim welcomed Amy Pond and Rory Williams abroad the Teselecta, allowing them full privileges to the ship. He was present when River Song raided a restaurant in Berlin, 1939 under the guise of Amy. When Amy deactivated the security bracelets, Jim was almost left for dead, but was teleported out alive.
