Mikey was a 20th century Londoner.
An escaped Toy found Mikey, whose loneliness made it transform into a brother for him, whom he named Dennis.
When Carl Scraton was sent to kill Dennis because the Toys' creator, Moriah, wanted them all destroyed, Mikey killed Carl to stop him. (PROSE: Bad Therapy)
