Gerard Shannon was a reader of the website Doctor Who?.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

In early 2005, Gerard wrote to the conspiracy website Doctor Who? about an encounter he and a group of friends had with the Ninth Doctor recently while they were exploring Newgrange, a 5,000-year-old Megalithic tomb in Co. Meath, Ireland. It was there that they witnessed the Ninth Doctor and Rose Tyler emerging from the tomb, both of them looking a little tired and worse for wear. The Doctor was telling Rose not to worry about something, assuring her that "They're trapped down there for another 5000 years!". Gerard had assumed that the Doctor and Rose were both archaeologists, but after reading the information on the site, he admitted that he was no longer certain. (PROSE: Have You Seen This Man? After the Dummy Massacre, the webmaster of Who is Doctor Who? asked his readers to send in their stories after there were supposed reports of "millions" of people hearing a "strange disembodied voice"; on 2 April 2005, Gerard wrote to the site, observing that it was strange the voices happened before the Dummy Massacre, suggesting that whatever was controlling the dummies was picking up interference, and that it might have been what finally killed them.
