"Next" book in series[[edit source]]

Just a quick note to say I think the spoiler policy here is silly. We can't add "Ruby Red" into the "next book" field because it's a spoiler apparently, even though: it's an officially announced book; it doesn't spoil anything related to "The Ruby's Curse"; and we can update elsewhere, ie. "Space Babies" is linked in the next episode field for "The Church on Ruby Road (TV Story)" even though that media isn't out yet. Over and out • Fractal 20:21, 19 April 2024 (UTC)

Oh, it's definitely silly, but it's policy nonetheless. We should really change it so that episode titles aren't spoilers... oh, and Space Babies being linked from TCORR is against policy and should be changed. Aquanafrahudy 📢 🖊️ 20:34, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
Indeed, it is a silly policy. I agree completely. Danniesen 21:03, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
I agree that the rule is silly - I don't see why we shouldn't be able to mention story titles on non-spoiler-y pages. However in this case I agree with current policy, as the spoiler isn't the title itself, but the link. There is no warning in the infobox that the reader may be about to click on a spoiler-y page, and so the potential for unintentionally spoiling said reader goes beyond the name of the episode.
