Benya was a science officer who was asked to scan the First Doctor. Toban told him to take Barbara Wright and Susan Foreman to the Endurance as prisoners. He told them that his ship was a war ship. He told Susan that his race were slaves. When Susan was in engineering he told her how the radiation was absorbed by ships as power. He was all but killed by the Shift, because it had found better prey. (AUDIO: The Age of Endurance)
