History[[edit] | [edit source]]
The TARDIS materialised within Martha's flat as the Doctor returned her home following their "escalated" trip, arriving in the morning, 12 hours after she joined him in the TARDIS. Before leaving, the Doctor learnt that Martha's sister Tish Jones worked in PR for Richard Lazarus, who appeared on television, announcing that he would demonstrate a device that night, which would change what it meant to by human. As a result, the TARDIS reappeared as soon as it departed. After stopping Lazarus, the Tenth Doctor accepted Martha aboard the TARDIS. (TV: The Lazarus Experiment)
Joined by Jack Harkness, the Doctor and Martha came to her flat after using Jack's vortex manipulator to return to 2008, the day after the general election and only four days after Martha met the Doctor in linear time, after the TARDIS was stolen by the Saxon Master. Whilst there, Jack attempted to contact his friendss on the phone, but got no reply. At the Doctor's request, Martha fetched her laptop where Jack shown the Doctor that the Master had adopted the alias of "Harold Saxon", the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Ultimately, the three saw a televised speech by "Harold Saxon", where the Master subtlely addressed them. This alerted the Doctor, who turned the television around to see explosives attached to it. The three promptly evacuated the building before the explosion, which destroyed Martha's flat. (TV: The Sound of Drums)
