What's the source on thid being an anthology?

Didn't the press release say it featured many different stories or something? Aquanafrahudy πŸ“’ πŸ–ŠοΈ 16:36, 20 March 2024 (UTC)

(Well, that's a nightmare block of text for your signature) I'm not entirely sure we have specifics other than it being a book, although the official Twitter did call it a "novel". Cookieboy 2005 ☎ 16:36, 20 March 2024 (UTC)

Ah, here we are:
Packed with stories from across time and space
Which is a bit ambiguous, really, but the plural does imply it's an anthology, at least, though there's certainly the possibility that it isn't, and it's more of one continuous narrative with many stories contained within. Aquanafrahudy πŸ“’ πŸ–ŠοΈ 16:40, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
Well technically a lot of reference books are "little stories that make up a larger one". Wish we had more info to go on. 18:38, 20 March 2024 (UTC)

"Memoirs" suggests anthology to me, tbh. It could be an IU reference book, but I think that's the only other option, given Cole's prior work. Najawin ☎ 19:09, 20 March 2024 (UTC)

"Memoirs" definitely implies primarily narrative contents; I think it would be a "(novel)" in the same sense as Book of the War, if it's all one thing. Especially if marketing has called it such. "(reference book)" seems very unlikely, for my money it's either novel or anthology on the available evidence. --Scrooge MacDuck ☎ 20:09, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
I think we should just leave it undabbed until it is released (or we find out more). No use thinking too hard on what it could be, when we don't have enough information to say anything for sure. Danochy ☎ 04:19, 29 March 2024 (UTC)

So now this is released, I'd say (novel) works best. I've only just started listening to the audiobook, but it's divided into "Records", each with subsections. The "Records" are all interconnected, really akin to chapters in a novel, and seem to be split by Doctor, more or less. There's a through narrative, which is the TARDIS narrating her entire life, with entries from the TARDIS log for companions and locations visited. Danochy ☎ 23:33, 12 July 2024 (UTC)

Yeah, that seems agreeable. 23:43, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
Agreed. --Scrooge MacDuck ☎ 19:43, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
