Yan Periko was an artist in Prague. He found Charley Pollard when she was trapped in the city, having lost her memory. He took her in and they developed a relationship until the Eighth Doctor convinced Yan that Charley would die if Yan didn't let her go. (PROSE: Lady of the Snows)
