Asgard was a location where the Doctor and River Song picnicked. (DW: Silence in the Library) It may be the planet or realm where the beings that influenced the Norse Gods lived, or the home of the Norse Gods themselves, or simply somewhere named after the home of the mythological Norse Gods.
