Creet's Legacy
When Martha Jones, Thomas Milligan, and Professor Alison Docherty set a trap for one Toclafane by using a powerful electric current to bring it down, and see a distorted human-like face, surrounded by machinery. When the Toclafane talks about the 'skies being made of diamonds', she remembers Creet saying this about Utopia, and it confirms to her what she suspected about the Toclafane and their origins. Alison questions why they haven't canceled themselves out by murdering their own ancestors, Martha realizes and speaks about the Paradox machine, that allows a Grandfather Paradox. Thomas questions "we are the same species, why do you kill so many of us?" Creet responds "because it is fun!" In a giddy tone and laughs in his mechanically altered voice. Horrified and disgusted, Tom shoots him dead. However when time reverted with the destruction of the Paradox machine, it is likely that his fate was altered and was back alive as a sphere at the end of the universe, without knowing what had happened. In which he may only die out along with the rest of the Toclafane species. (DW: Last of the Time Lords)
