100 Scariest Monsters (reference book)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
This is a work of non-fiction.

Unlike other fictional universes, the Doctor Who universe is created solely by fiction. To us, this is not a valid source. Information from this source can only be used in "behind the scenes" sections, or on pages about real world topics.

Doctor Who: 100 Scariest Monsters is an illustrated guide written by Justin Richards and published in 2011. The book includes a hundred profiles of monsters, aliens, robots and villains from both the classic and revived series of Doctor Who. Each profile includes a fear factor scale ranging from 1 to 10, as well as sections on origin, Doctors encountered, and description.

Notes

  • Two separate profiles of the Silurians are included, one titled "Silurians" and the other titled "Homo Reptilia". Because of this, it could be argued that only ninety-nine monsters are described, rather than the claimed hundred.
  • On the Robots of Death profile, the planet Kaldor is misspelled as Caldor.
  • On the page of the Slitheen, the description of them had Slitheen mispelled as Sltheen.
  • The Sandminer robots are misnamed "Robots of Death".
  • The Eight Legs are misnamed "Giant Spiders".
  • The K1 Robot is misnamed "Giant Robot".
  • The Roboform are misnamed "Pilot Fish Santa Robots".
  • The Osirian service robots are misnamed "Mummies".
  • The Catkind are misnamed "Cat People of New Earth".
  • Only the Ninth Doctor is listed to encounter the Slitheen, despite the Tenth Doctor briefly seeing one in The End of Time.
