January
- The Wrong Doctors was released.
- The Flames of Cadiz was released.
- The second series of The Fourth Doctor Adventures started, with the release of The Auntie Matter.
- 3 January - The Big Finish 50th anniversary series, Destiny of the Doctor begins airing with a First Doctor story, Hunters of Earth released.
- 7 January - HOMEVID: Shada and More than Thirty Years in the TARDIS were released in a DVD boxset, The Legacy.
- 23 January - A Big Hand for the Doctor, the first in a series of Puffin eshorts, was released.
- 27 January - The Aztecs had its BBC America premiere, shortly after a new special, DOC: The Doctors Revisited - The First Doctor.
- 28 January - The Reign of Terror was released on DVD. The release included animated reconstructions of the missing episodes.
- 29 January - COMIC: Prisoners of Time issue 1 was released on iTunes.
- 29 - Bernard Horsfall, who has made several guest appearances in Doctor Who, most notably Chancellor Goth in The Deadly Assassin, died.
February

- 23 March - The third episode of series 4 of Pointless Celebrities, a special edition of the BBC game show hosted by Alexander Armstrong, featuring Doctor Who actors as contestants, as well as an appearance by John Leeson as K9, was broadcast on BBC1.
