Deep Breath is the first episode for both Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor and for Series 8. It first aired on August 23, 2014 following The Time of the Doctor at 19:50, (07:50 pm) to 21:20 (09:20 pm) firstly in Britain and August 25, 2014 at the same time for the U.S.A.
Plot
The Doctor has regenerated into a man who is funny, mean and quite an action doctor. The TARDIS was swallowed by a dinosaur and was time travelled to Victoria London. It was later killed by this half human and half robot person, much to the Doctor's distraught face. He chases after the dinosaur, and Clara, Jenna, Strax and Vasta follow behind. He jumpes in the water, but he survives but goes missing. Meanwhile Strax has found the TARDIS, and uses it as bait to find the Doctor. He throws something at Clara but hits her in the face. Strax scannes Clara and it revealed she is 27. Later the Doctor is homeless and he meets a old man and trades the gold watch he had from his previous incarnation, 11th Doctor for a warm coat. Clara then sees this message in the newspaper, possibly from the Doctor, but it's not. She meets the Doctor at this fake restaurant, and goes underneath the restaurant, the lair of the robots and there are a lot. The Doctor tricks Clara and she is stuck there she gets out but almost died because she had to hold her breath. She gets caught and almost died because of the Doctor. He surprisingly enters without being seen and saves Clara. He fights the robot person when he transformed the restaurant into a hot air balloon. He punches him off and all the robots shut down and the cyborg landed on the top of Big Ben. The big tall turret stabes him and the Doctor makes a weird expression. Clara then gets a phone call from the Doctor- not the main doctor Matt Smith's Doctor! He askes Clara if he has grey hair. Clara replies, "(laughs) Yeah!" The 11th makes a angry face and he hangs up, leaving Clara ultimately happy. Clara asked the Doctor if he was listening but he says. "No. I made the call before I changed." The episode ends with scenes for the following episode, Into the Dalek.
