Bentonedit source

Mark Benton cameo? Was Mark Benton (Clive from 'Rose') the actor playing the man in the beard whose eyes are stolen at the beginning of the episode? Lordandrei 04:39, August 24, 2014 (UTC)

Nope, it was Tony Way. Geek Mythology 14:41, August 24, 2014 (UTC)

Title questionedit source

TBA means To Be Announced right? So why can't we add a title name for the next episode in the infobox? The titles for series 8 are all oficially announced. Just wondering...The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sontar (talk • contribs) .

Please remember to sign your posts. To answer your question, per Tardis:Spoiler policy, we don't post story titles until after the story is released. If you're not familiar with the spoiler policy, please read it — we take it very seriously on this wiki. Shambala108 15:15, August 24, 2014 (UTC)

Doctor's knowledge about regenerationedit source

I may be missing something, but didn't 11 know he didn't have any more regenerations left at the point in the story where he makes the phone call? If so, how did he know that Clara would be with a new him? (Or was this before he had a chance to calculate that he wasn't going to regenerate?) 628548 17:02, August 24, 2014 (UTC)

The phone call was done when the process of regeneration had already begun. JagoAndLitefoot 18:53, August 24, 2014 (UTC)
IIRC, the regeneration started when he was old, and Series 7 Clara was there when he partially regened into the younger form. So I don't see where in that he made the call. Maybe I just need to go back and watch again. 628548 19:03, August 24, 2014 (UTC)
I think he made the call in the moments between the big regenerative explosion and his farewell in the TARDIS. He returned to younger form after the big explosion and was already inside the TARDIS when Clara got there. At least I assumed he made the call right before going upstairs. ~Playsonic2 19:10, August 24, 2014 (UTC)

Wales crew templateedit source

While adding the crew to the template, I encountered some jobs without variables and some with not enough.

Jobs that weren't in the template:

 • Assistant Accountant - Bethan Griffiths
 • Art Department Accountant - Simon Wheeler
 • Draughtsperson - Kartik Nagar
 • Assistant Storeman - Ryan Milton
 • Carpenters -John Sinnott, Chris Daniels, Lawrie Ferry, Matt Ferry, Julian Tucker, Mark Painter, Joe Painter
 • Head Scenic Painter - Clive Clarke
 • Scenic Painters - Steve Nelms, Matt Weston
 • Construction Driver - Jonathan Tylke
 • Title Concept - Billy Hanshaw

These ones I put under similar titles (in parenthesis) for now:

 • Storeman (Storeperson) - Jamie Southcott
 • Draughtsperson (Draughtsman) - Kartik Nagar
 • Effects Editor (Sound Effects Editor) - Harry Barnes

Jobs with not enough variables

 • Prop Buyer - Donna Shakesheff, Helen O'Leary
 • Set Dresser - Jayne Davies, Mike Elkins, Jamie Farrell
 • Costume Assisstant - Katarina Capellazzi, Gemma Evans, Charlotte Beswick

Also, Milk VFX was credited as Milk, so I'm not sure how to handle that in light of T:CREW. P&P talk contribs 22:22, August 24, 2014 (UTC)

Ordinarily, I think a redirect would be used - but in this case it cannot as there is an article about the milk you drink.  Digifiend  Talk  PR/SS  KR  MH  Toku  JD  Garo  TH  CG  UM  Logos  CLG  DW  00:35, 25/8/2014
Maybe I'm not understanding the problem, but why couldn't you pipe switch like this: Milk. Shambala108 00:45, August 25, 2014 (UTC)
The template takes page names, not wikitext markup. I think because of the technical limitations this will have to be an exception to the rule. P&P talk contribs 00:57, August 25, 2014 (UTC)
Then I suggest asking either User:CzechOut or User:SmallerOnTheOutside if they have any suggestions, as they are the technicals guys on the wiki. Shambala108 01:10, August 25, 2014 (UTC)

76 or 80 minutes?edit source

What's the correct running time, 76 or 80? I'm seeing plenty of reviews saying 80, which may either be a case of rounding up or it's possible it incorporated the Strax intro seen in the theatres (which is erroneously mentioned as being part of the TV broadcast by some reviewers). We have 76 but it might not hurt to double-check. 23skidoo 02:30, August 25, 2014 (UTC)

The correct time is 76 minutes. This can be verified by BBC iPlayer. Original Authority (talk) 09:21, August 26, 2014 (UTC)

Using the leaks as a sourceedit source

I don't know if this has been discussed elsewhere, but I'm opposed to using the leaks (scripts and video) as sources for these articles. Let's not give such activity legitimacy. For example, the fact Matt Smith filmed his cameo during the Christmas special production was confirmed by Moffat in several interviews. We don't need to cite the leaked scripts for that information. 23skidoo 17:18, August 28, 2014 (UTC)

"the doctor's boyfriend"edit source

In the episode, it kept referring to Clara as The Doctor's boyfriend. At the end Missy said she was The Doctor's boyfriend. It is important to note that Clara has brown eyes and Missy has blue. It's an important clarification. The first time Shambala108 removed it saying "speculation" and so I had to remove why it was relevant and now you just remove it for "irrelevant". You just like destroying people's hard work on wikis--wikis are full of trolls like you who sit around doing nothing but harassing innocent people. You never do anything to help, you just hurt innocent people! Why don't you stop bullying people? OrmiaOchracea 19:44, August 29, 2014 (UTC)

I'm not going to explain this in two different places, so please see Talk:Missy (Deep Breath). Thanks. Shambala108 22:18, August 29, 2014 (UTC)
Since this may not be a page anymore.... would be interested in a link here. However true, I'm not sure why it is important to note eye color, except perhaps to dissuade now-irrelevant speculation that Missy might be s future Clara. 174.92.132.116talk to me 06:16, January 20, 2015 (UTC)

Redecorationedit source

This is mentioned and also Clara commenting on it, but the article should clarify when this happens. It is an important detail since Day of the Doctor resembles pre-redecoration giving 2 possibilities:

 1. DotD cameo of "no sir, all thirteen" occurs DURING downtime in Deep Breath
 2. it occurs after all currently aired episodes, with the Doctor reverting the redecoration and going back to how he used to have it.

I would have to rewatch to find possible moments. Knowing when Clara was last in the TARDIS, when Doctor had time to sneak in, and when she made the comment, would all help. 174.92.132.116talk to me 06:16, January 20, 2015 (UTC)

Missing traileredit source

A mod should add the <removed per Tardis:Video policy> which is missing from this article.Flabshoe1
