In 1592, Matt Jobswortham visited Deptford and hit Mary Harries with his cart, badly injuring her. (PROSE: The Empire of Glass)

At some point during 1592, jaded dramatist Robert Greene fell victim to a plague and began dying from it. Before he passed, two Shadeys tempted him to murder William Shakespeare out of jealousy by letting him use their powers, but he was convinced to expel them by the Ninth Doctor and Rose Tyler. Greene then passed on, knowing he would be remembered by the two time travellers. (COMIC: A Groatsworth of Wit)

The Ninth Doctor and Rose Tyler meet William Shakespeare. (COMIC: A Groatsworth of Wit)

1592 was also the date on what Ben Jackson perceived to the the oldest of a series of tombstones in a Cornish graveyard in the 17th century. (TV: The Smugglers)

Behind the scenes

The novelisation of The Smugglers disagrees with the soundtrack recording, saying that Ben's old tombstone is actually dated 1593.
