A surfboard is an elongated platform used to ride waves on Earth.
When the Ninth Doctor, Rose, Jack Harkness and Mickey Smith captured Blon Fel-Fotch Passameer-Day Slitheen in Cardiff, 2006, they discovered she had a tribophysical waveform macro-kinetic extrapolator, which she would've used to ride the shockwave caused by opening the Cardiff Space-Time Rift to safety.
