On 27 May, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1969 - Nicholas Courtney was contracted to return as Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart — this time as part of the regular cast for at least one season.
- 1996 - Following the death of Jon Pertwee just one week before its release, a dedication to him was added at the end of the Doctor Who TV movie for the BBC broadcast.
- 2001 - Recording for Colditz took place at The Moat Studios.
