PLOT

The Nocturne continues to attack. Gabby enters the room holding some musical instruments, saying that the Nocturne doesn't like volume. The Doctor changes his plan, telling the musicians to keep changing the pitch of their music. Gabby and Cindy get the audience to make noise as well. This weakens the Nocturne slightly.

Cindy grabs a saxophone from Gabby, and attempts to hit the Nocturne with it. It attempts to attack her, but the earplugs protect her. Gabby holds up the music box she got from Wupatki and amplifies its noise with a trumpet.

The Doctor cheers everyone on, but the Nocturne turns around and says to collapse the incubation field. The entire room is hit with energy, knocking everyone over. Gabby gets up, along with the Doctor - but Cindy is unconscious, along with Bernie. The Doctor walks towards the TARDIS, saying that Gabby managed to shield them with her block transfer powers. She says that she thinks everyone else died.

The Doctor and Gabby enter the TARDIS. Gabby says she noticed that he had left and came back before she woke up. He says he went to the place they're going now - Chicago, two days later. He says that the Nocturne is trying to use recording studios to broadcast itself to the world.

In a cafe, Roscoe and Paradisa sit at a table while the Nocturne floats above their heads. They arrive in the studio and begin to play. The two workers, Gene and Earl, are in awe at their skill, until the Nocturne reveals itself. The Nocturne is weakened by interference. The cause of the interference is revealed to the the Doctor and Gabby, who power up a device. The Nocturne says it will not be overpowered, but the Doctor holds up the device, which is playing a data stream of all music from then until the 2020s. The Nocturne commands Paradisa to play faster and stronger, but Roscoe, temporarily freed from possession, attacks it. It screams and explodes.

The smoke clears, revealing the Nocturne gone, Paradisa freed, and Roscoe dead. Later, the TARDIS leaves, with the Doctor, Gabby, Paradisa and Roscoe's body. It arrives back in the Red Note, and Cindy wakes up. She asks where Roscoe is and sees his body in the TARDIS.
