• Iris Wildthyme has had a history of claiming that the Doctor's adventures were her own. Jimmy and Jenny are her equivalents of the Doctor's grandchildren, John and Gillian.
• Jimmy and Jenny were named after the Doctor's companions Jimmy Forbes and Jenny Wilson from NOTVALID: Seven Keys to Doomsday.
