2012edit source

Sorryedit source

I can't help you, I don't know much about wiki coding. My edit had to do with the rule here that we don't capitalize "the" in the middle of a sentence, only at the beginning, as described in Tardis:Capital letters. It doesn't really have anything to do with article titles. Shambala108 05:16, September 26, 2012 (UTC)

Article titles are judged to be at the beginning of sentences. Therefore the first word of an article title is always capitalised, unless the "proper" way of rendering the name involves an initial lowercase letter, as with iPod. Articles, like a, an, the are always capitalised in page titles, but within the body of a page, a, an, the follow standard capitalisation rules.
So, the page is called "The Editor", but we say, "The Ninth Doctor thwarted the Editor's plans."
The template to change the appearance of a title is called title, and it works by doing something like this: iPod. There are very few times you want to use this template, however. It's mostly meant to make it easy to italicise page titles. Even so, italicisation of story titles is best done with title dab away, which works almost by magic. Just put that on any story page and it will work without you having to type anything else.

Category:Imagesedit source

Hi, please don't just add Category:Images when uploading images. It's a top level category that is used to contain other subcategories. I have properly categorised the two images you uploaded as Category:An Unearthly Child TV story images. --Tangerineduel / talk 07:25, October 3, 2012 (UTC)

Christmas cheeredit source

Happy holidays!

As this fiftieth anniversary year comes to a close, we here at Tardis just want to thank you for being a part of our community — even if you haven't edited here in a while. If you have edited with us this year, then thanks for all your hard work.

This year has seen an impressive amount of growth. We've added about 11,000 pages this year, which is frankly incredible for a wiki this big. November was predictably one of the busiest months we've ever had: over 500 unique editors pitched in. It was the highest number of editors in wiki history for a year in which only one programme in the DWU was active. And our viewing stats have been through the roof. We've averaged well over 2 million page views each week for the last two months, with some weeks seeing over 4 million views!

We've received an unprecedented level of support from Wikia Staff, resulting in all sorts of new goodies and productive new relationships. And we've recently decided to lift almost every block we've ever made so as to allow most everyone a second chance to be part of our community.

2014 promises to build on this year's foundations, especially since we've got a full, unbroken series coming up — something that hasn't happened since 2011. We hope you'll stick with us — or return to the Tardis — so that you can be a part of the fun!

Page movesedit source

Hi please note that per Thread:128198 only admins are permitted to move pages on this wiki thanks Shambala108 14:53, January 11, 2020 (UTC)

Re: Vworpedit source

Hi, we only make pages for nouns on this wiki. Sometimes we allow adjectives or verbs as redirects, but the noun page has to exist in the first place.

If you wanted to make an in universe page for "Vworp", you would have to find a story source using that term. Unfortunately, close-caption descriptions of sounds do not count. It's possible that some prose or comic story uses the term, then you could make a page for it.

If you like, you could add the information to Vworp Vworp! where its name comes from. Thanks, Shambala108 01:22, January 12, 2020 (UTC)
